The “At a Glance” widget, a feature of Google Workspace, has been given a makeover and it’s now rolling out broadly to Pixel phones! It shows useful details like date, time, weather, and more, according to what users pick.
Here’s What the Refreshed ‘At a Glance’ Looks Like: The updated widget is pill-shaped and 5×1 in size, but users can change the padding on the top or bottom.

On the right, there’s the current temperature and weather conditions inside a scalloped shape that uses Dynamic Color.
On the left, you’ll find the date, upcoming events, weather forecast, and more, separated by a three-dot menu that opens an ‘Assistant At a Glance’ sheet.
Here, users find controls with four options:
- About this content
- Hide the content
- Not/Useful thumbs up/down
Users can also change the Style, picking from three options:
- Semi-transparent
- Transparent with a thin white outline
- Solid
Once updated, the “Customize” option lets users choose what the “At a Glance” widget shows, like:
- Weather
- Alerts
- Upcoming events
- Work Profile
- Food & household orders
- Commute
- Time to leave reminders
- Travel
Interestingly, options to adjust the widget weren’t available for non-Pixel devices before. Now, this final version of the Google app update is widely available on Pixel phones (but not tablets).
A few Pixel owners have noted that the new Style doesn’t show up at the top of the Pixel Launcher, perhaps for consistency with the lock screen and Always-On Display (AOD).
It’s worth noting that the fixed Launcher version is developed for Pixel-specific abilities, unlike the widget which is meant for all Android phones.
